Yeah for the long-awaited cny entry, cant blog about it cos my comp's down. for those who dont know, i spend my cny with my maternal side relatives almost every year. i always love that place man, it's like sort of a hiatus from my life here.

chuxi: we had a simple dinner and after which we gathered around the tv. slacked until midnight before we set up the table for the offerings, incense paper stuff like that.

Yeah the fireworks! aka pao4, it will change its colour as it spins. quite cool heh. you have to light it and when you see the sparks coming out right, you must throw it out quickly, quite thrilling. haha. then the thing will go 'piak piak piak' for a few seconds. even during daytime people will fang4 pao4, so you can hear the piak piak noise occasionally throughout the whole day.

this family lined up an entire string of red firecrackers from the pillar to the top of the tree. i think they are damn rich lar. and it was so LOUD when the crackers were let off, think it lasted for about a min.

we saw fireworks right outside the house! it's real fireworks lar! it lasted for about 1 to 2 mins. its' the same neighbours again. i suppose there's a wick protruding out of the tin, then you light it. one tin cost about RM120, and the people bought 3. the thing is, it is illegal to put fireworks or fire crackers, as long as it is those that will fly up into the sky, cos it's quite dangerous, the wire outside the houses may catch fire. so the first time the neighbour put the pao4, those very loud one, police came. i think they couldnt find any evidence, so they left. freaked us out, cos we were letting off the crackers, but of course the milder ones. then no sooner had the police left, than the neighbours let off the fireworks, haha. the police came again but the neighbours were quick enough to kick the fireworks tin into the drain. lol.

lots of relatives gathered at my grandparents on that day, and my twins uncles arrived on that day too. at one time there were about 20 over people in the house, so there's hardly place to sit, my cousins brought me to this garden which is slightly further away from my grandparent's place. ok lar it's not really a garden, just a green patch of land, with a slide and a broken swing. then we saw a few chickens too. but the place is very very quiet. yeah and very peaceful too.

this's one of my cousins, i dont know why but she likes me a lot. she will climb onto me while im sitting on the sofa, then she will plaster her face against mine, then whispered 'kan4 wo3, kan4 wo3!!' freaked me out. sometime she will plait my hair, other time she will kiss me on the face.

his sister, a year older than him.

chu er: chu er was quite boring, we stayed home most of the day, and relatives came to visit us instead, relatives that i didnt even seen before. my maternal side is quite big and complicated, my grandparents have 8 kids, then my grandparents have a lot of siblings too, so we ended up having lots of relatives, each and everyone of us interconnected in one way or another.

we went to this relative's house to bai nian. the house is so freaking BIG, more like a 5-star hotel with lots of chandelier. this's only one apartment, they have another one by the side, connected by a small door.

this is the first chandelier that we saw when we entered through the door.

i like the staircase's design! see the sofa, it's yellowish-gold in colour.
